9/11/10

It's one of those periods when you know you're supposed to be living based on Eastern time, but somehow find yourself functioning on Pacific time.

A couple nights ago, I found myself surpassing my average going-to-bed time (around 4am) by four hours (making it around 8am). Seeing as it was 50% off day at Value Village that morning, I opted to stay up the rest of the day in an effort to correct this unruly sleeping habit of mine.

This here is an attempt at fixing my biological clock:
  • 8am-ish: exhausted. Debating going to sleep. Will persevere.
  • 10:11am: Inside Value Village. 50% off sale. They're serving coffee. I would have made some, but it wasn't ready. Plus, I'm lazy. My eyes are strained.
  • 11:26am: Eating wedges from Sobey's and watching The View with my mumma. Drowsy.
  • 12:05pm: On my way to York. A rasta dude keeps pacing around me while we're waiting for the train at St George. I'm a little more awake.
  • 1:00pm: standing on the 196 bus. I don't remember the last time I stood on the 196. Not what I want to be doing, especially with my haven't-slept-for-more-than-22-hours-and-counting ...ness. I'm supposed to be at York right now.
  • 1:06pm: Still standing on the bus.
  • 1:07pm: Still standing. The fatigue is kicking in.
  • 1:17pm: First of all, I see that number (117) way too many times and secondly, I'm struggling to get the key for the Fsay office out of this stupid combination lock.
  • 1:28pm: Sitting in the Fsay office. Taking a break.
  • 1:32pm: Laying on couch... I think I'll buy a coach cover. Thank God, I'm not wearing bra straps. I'd go crazy trying to fix them in this stupid dress. Taking a 5min nap.
  • 1:45pm: Fuck. It was supposed to be 5 minutes.
  • 2:19pm: En route to Eatons. Going to be late by 10 minutes.
  • 2:20pm: Just found out that I was actually 8 minutes EARLY for my appointment, not 11 minutes late. I could have made it! Whyyy...
  • 2:41pm: Just did the head-bobbing thing sleepy people do on the train. The first of many, I'm sure.
  • 2:48pm: More than 10 minutes late -- still en route to Eatons.
  • 3:00pm: FINALLY arriving at Dundas. I need a fucking coffee because I swear I was about to snore my life away on the train.
  • 3:12pm: WAITING for my mom.
  • 3:30pm: Went searching for her in the mall and FOUND HER at the phone place (Where we needed to go.). Thanks for ditching me, mother! Geez...
  • 4:24pm: Eating with the parental. Not so tired. Possibly feeding off my mumma's energy.
  • 4:46pm: Mom's got her new blackberry curve and we're making a pit-spot at the potty before venturing home.

That's where it ended! Don't think I had enough energy to continue jotting down my day.

To conclude, I ended up sleeping around 10pm that night (yay!!!); however, it only lasted one night (boo).

AND THE BLOODY CYCLE CONTINUES...
