-My Minute-

Manager: "Kemeny, did you get your minute?"
Me: "Uhh, no??"

This was the two-sentenced dialogue that became a regular staple for me, whilst employed with one of the most benevolent companies in the world!

GAP, OBVIOUSLY.

...wow, only kidding.

Let me breif you on what a 'minute' actually is: Before every shift, the LOD (Leader On Deck, a.k.a, the manager on the floor) will give you a short summary of yesterday's financial achievements, the hopes for today's sale goals, and an exiguous pep talk to get you into that super-enthusiastic-about-everything mode, of which is supposed to ensure your monetary success throughout your shift - but I'm not writing about Gap today. No, no. Today (!), I'm going to give you a 'minute' on what's going on in my life, currently.

MEANING, there will be periods where I haven't written for days - weeks, even - but my 'minute' will encompass a short...something in my life, right now. If that makes sense.

Here's my first minute:Okay. Busiest week of my LIFE, thus far. I've done more this week (of which isn't over, yet), than the entirety of my summer: I went to a N.E.R.D. concert (which was AWESOME, by the way), I've been day-drinking three days of this week (for my cold, people - rum helps you get better, I swear.), I went to my classes... (improvement?) I went to my classes WITH a COLD (I HATE colds), there were several student group events I attended (I got drunk at all of them), I've been introduced to WAY too many people, and I can't remember what else I did this week.

Coming up, however, is a birthday party tonight (I will be intoxicated), then I have a meeting tomorrow, another concert (JUSTIN NOZUKA, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE), and another birthday party (at a hotel).
NO, it doesn't end there...The next morning, I'm volunteering ALL DAY. Around 7am, I'll (if I wake up in time) be cheering on runners and throwing water at them in a marathon, then I'll be going to (Free The Children's) We Day training for my entire afternoon/evening. Am I excited? HELLS, YES.

Truly, I really do feel that alcohol is the one thing keeping energized these days. That and my sweet mumma's cooking.

<-- This is what I've been drinking. Rivers.
