Now, you know how much I love television, and digital cable, and The CW, so if I told you I'd been following The Bachelorette as of late, you probably wouldn't be surprised.
I will tell you this, however; while I absolutely adore that box with the vivid glowing screen in my living room and all the junk that's in it, I wouldn't put The Bachelor, or The Bachelorette anywhere near my top 50 shows of all time.I don't know? There's something about one individual continually sticking their eager tongue down several sex-deprived individuals mouths, until they find the mouth they want to stick their tongue down the most, that makes the concept of the show slightly repulsive. Also, because It's all practically fake; there's no true love found on these shows! The infatuation of wanting true love is merely meddled with, and that in itself, the infatuation, isn't even found.
There were only two times when I was positive I saw true love on my television screen -- actual love: That was Tristin (the 1st Bachelorette), who is still with her husband and now share two children, and "Mr. Personality" (like The Bachelorette, but the men wore masks, so you couldn't see their faces). That Mr. Personality girl found the BEST guy EVER, and watching her take off his mask was the most beautiful thing I'd seen since Beauty and The Beast. My mom and I teared up, it was that good. I'll look for it on youtube -- this just in, couldn't find it. I don't even think it's called "Mr Personality".
Enough digressing, I think this years Bachelorette is really pretty, and she's a really cool chick -- she's as fun as her name, Ali (pronounced Ah-Lee). I can't figure out for sure if she's wearing extensions or not, I don't think so...
All of that being said, I'm rooting for my girl Ali to find true love, even though she probably won't, seeing as all this lovey dovey shit will end for her and her beau, after she services them a couple times.
